As we are in the habit of doing, Fred and I went up to Ron and Jay's house in Plano for New Year's Eve. Ron and Jay don't like to drink and drive, so if they come down here, then they can't imbibe as they are used to. Plus the fact that they have a pool table and more space. Plus the fact that Jay likes to set out a well-stocked table. Plus...well, you get the idea.

This New Year's, Chris did not have to work, so Ron and Jay invited him also. We arrived about eight and played some pool and noshed on hor d'oeuvres (all quite good) and then played some poker. Ron, as usual, was the big winner. You can watch a movie of the poker game and participants using the player at left.

The time wound down on 2005, and just before midnight, Jay got the countdown going, and you can watch the countdown movie with the player at right.

We stayed a while longer playing poker (Ron's favorite game), and then left for home about one in the morning. We always appreciate the hospitality that Ron and Jay display, and we visit at their house frequently.
