A Visit from Rudolf Lowenstein

This year is the year for the biennial visit to the United States by Rudolf Lowenstein, our Internet friend from England. This year, he arrived on the 20th, and didn't depart for his next stop until the 25th- making this his longest visit to date. We did two major things with him this time: we visited the Arboretum and the Zoo. Rather than try to cover all of that on one album page, I am going to treat the Arboretum and Zoo visits on separate pages, as we took quite a few pictures each time.

On this page, I'll include the pictures we took during his visit that weren't involved with our trips to the Arboretum and Zoo; those will be found on the next two album pages.

The morning after Rudolf arrived, he brought his knitting stuff down to the study where all of us- cats included- hung out for a while. The cats (at least Tyger and Lucky) were intrigued with the yarn (naturally). One of the pictures Fred took is at left; you can use the clickable thumbnails below to see three more of them:

The other event that didn't involve the Arboretum or the Zoo was our dinner on the Friday night of his stay. We had Justin, Mario and Steve and Fred and I along with Rudolf.

A little later on in the evening, Greg stopped by to say hellow to Rudolf, and Fred took two more pictures; they are below:

For the rest of Rudolf's visit, we just hung out together or ate out or did little excursions. As I said, the two big events were our visit to the Dallas Arboretum and the Dallas Zoo, and you'll be able to come along with us on those outings on the next two album pages.

You can use the links below to continue to another photo album page.
