In prior years, my Thanksgiving page has usually been much larger than this one will be. But now, in the midst of the pandemic, large gatherings are ill-advised, even if it is only an extended family. I continue to cook a large turkey, not because I have that many mouths to feed but more because I want the leftovers to freeze and use over the next half year or so. So I scoured around until I found a 24-pounder, and I am cooking that bird today.
As for guests, there will only be two- our good friends Justin and Gary. They have both been working from home since spring, and we have stayed in touch through the summer, and we are all four satisfied that the others have taken all the necessary precautions to ensure that safety from the virus. So we have invited them and they have accepted.
Justin and Gary were here for a couple of hours- enough time for us to sit around and catch up and then have our Thanksgiving Dinner. It was enjoyable, but with such a small group a lot of pictures weren't necessary. So here are just two of them. (Gary is at left in both pictures.)

Even with such a small group, we had a good time, and I found the small group to be a lot less stressful as well!
