A Trip to San Antonio

 

During the last few days of our stay in Florida, I got a call from Prudence about her laptop. It had been giving her problems, she took it to Best Buy, and the upshot of their work on it was that she got a new machine. Unfortunately, the new machine didn't have all the programs that I'd installed on her previous one- programs that she relies on.

To set up this machine, I needed to be there in person, and so I planned a quick trip down to San Antonio a few days after we returned from Florida. I took with me my new computer "Installation Kit", and Prudence and spent an intensive three days getting everything set up on her new machine. We were also able to transfer over some of what was on her old machine as the hard drive from that machine was still operable.

I was happy to go down and help Prudence; she's done a lot for Fred and I, and without her laptop, she wouldn't be able to run her gallery. I am glad everything worked out.

I did take three pictures while I was in San Antonio- three pictures of Prudence's new kitchen and powder room finally coming together. Here are those pictures:

 In the picture at left, we are looking from the main kitchen down a short hall to the powder room, which is at the left right by the window you see here. You can see the new powder room in the picture at right. The finishes Prudence has chosen are all very nice.

Below is a picture of the way the main kitchen looks at the moment. Most of the cabinets are in place, and the rest of the appliances and range and range hood are awaiting installation.

I'm glad I was able to get Prudence up and running again, and I am especially glad that she can see the light at the end of the tunnel of her kitchen renovation!
