My New Doors Are Installed

Today, the new doors from Bliss Window and Screen are going in and, once again, Ty has come over from his guesthouse to be here while the workmen are putting the doors. First, I filmed the workmen putting in the door/window combination that is my front entrance, and you can watch that movie with the player at left.

A little later in the day, Fred took some more pictures of the work. In one of them, the new kitchen door is going in. In another, Ty and I are putting up the living room blinds. And in the last picture, I am working on putting up a light over the sink by the new kitchen window.

Lunch at the Riverside Hotel

Around lunchtime, Fred and I left Ty in charge at the condo and walked the two blocks to the Riverside Hotel for a lunch on the Las Olas patio of the Indigo Restaurant. I took only one picture, that of Fred at our table, and only one movie of our lunch. You can watch the movie with the player at right.

On the way to and from lunch, Fred found a number of opportunities for floral pictures, and he took some excellent pictures. I've included thumbnails below for four of them here, and you can see the full-size pictures by clicking on the thumbnails:

At the Beach

The work on the doors went more slowly than with the windows, so we had more time that we might as well be away from the condo, so we drove over to Sebastian Street Beach to sit on the sand and play some backgammon. While we were there, I made one movie of the beach scene, and you can watch it with the player at left.

When we returned to the condo, work was almost finished, and everything looked great.
