Florida Trip Day 11 (Fort Lauderdale)

On Sunday morning, we took Steve and Mario to the Fort Lauderdale airport for their flight home, and we spent the rest of the day relaxing on our own and getting back into our routine. Monday was another lazy day here; we went out to see Ron and Jay again for our last night in Fort Lauderdale on this trip. Just before we left for their house, Fred took a lovely picture of the sunset over the New River.

Tuesday was the day we left Fort Lauderdale. We were packed and ready to go about ten in the morning, and just before we left, I had Fred take a picture of me and my Hyundai in my parking space at the condo.

Then it was into the car and the beginning of our trip home. If you've been following the album up until now, you saw all the maps of our route down here; the route home was exactly the reverse.

We stayed overnight in Hammond, LA, and a Super 8 Motel just off I-12 north of New Orleans, and we arrived back in Dallas in the late afternoon of Wednesday, November 12th.

What with Disney World and our relaxing time in Fort Lauderdale, this was a great trip, and we plan to repeat it next January or February.
