This is not one of our usual trips to Fort Lauderdale. We are here this time because we are going to be taking a cruise through the Panama Canal next week, and it leaves from here. So we have flown down a few days before the cruise to relax. We will be joined by Greg and Paul on Saturday and by Bud and Chet on Sunday, and on Monday we will all leave on the cruise together.

Fred and I have been down here to Fort Lauderdale so many times now that we take relatively few pictures. Actually, wesotend not to take many at all unless there is some new destination or special activity going on. When we arrived on Thursday, we had dinner with Ron and Jay, and saw them again on Friday. Other than that, we didn't do much until Greg and Paul arrived on Saturday. They were going to stay with us, but decided to get a hotel near the airport that had shuttle service to the port for Monday morning.

On Sunday, Bud and Chet arrived. We picked them up and took them to the guesthouse over by the beach that they'd booked, and then had them by the condo for a while. A little after noon on Sunday, we all decided to walk down to the Riverwalk and along it to the Briny Pub for lunch. While we were walking along Las Olas towards the Riverwalk, I got two group shots. As we were walking along the Riverwalk towards the Briny Pub for lunch, I made a movie of the guys.

On Sunday evening, Jay had a birthday party for Ron Drew, and he was nice enough to invite all six of us. They also had their friends John and Ron Smith, and another lady whose name I forgot. As usual, Jay did a really nice dinner, and we all had a great time.
