Vacations are supposed to be relaxing, of course, but usually one has to decompress afterward- go figure. The three of us (Fred, Greg and I) decided early on that we would spend Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale at my condo after the cruise, and fly home Wednesday evening. This would give us a chance to vegetate and get our land legs back.

We really did not do much during those days that we haven't done a zillion times before, so I'll just cover the two events at which we took pictures.

Dinner at Ron and Jay's

On Tuesday night, the three of us drove out to Ron and Jay's house to have dinner with them. We ended up going out but, before we did, Fred and I gave Jay the gift we'd gotten for him in Gibraltar. I took just a few pictures of Jay and his gift that evening, and if you will click on the links below you can have a look at them:

Lunch on Wednesday

The only other time we took some pictures was when we went to lunch on Wednesday, our last day. We walked down Las Olas to the Floridian Restaurant where we ate outside for a change. I took just a few pictures today too, and again you can click on the links below to have a look at them:

That afternoon, we packed our things and headed off to the airport about three-thirty. We turned in the car and had a pleasant flight back to Dallas, where John and John came to pick us up.

We'd been gone over three weeks by now, the longest Fred and I have been away from home. But everything in the trip- visiting New York City, Copenhagen, Barcelona, the Cruise and Fort Lauderdale- was well worth it.
