|Return to Index for 2011|
For about six months, Fred and I have been talking with Mario and Steve about a trip we might take together in the Fall. After a lot of discussion, we decided on a trip to New England. Not only would we get a chance to do some interesting things in the area, but we would also enable Steve to add some state capitol buildings to the list of those he has visited. As a matter of fact, we planned to add six capitols to his list- almost doubling it.
We plan to fly into Boston on Saturday, do some stuff around the Providence, RI area on Sunday, and then, for the next five days, visit the six state capitols. We plan on ending up in Boston and flying home on Saturday, October 1. Other than the capitols, we will apparently be touring by the seat of our pants, just doing what seems interesting. Fred and I do have two goals for the four of us. One is to take Steve and Mario to the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, and the other is to take them both on a hike through Flume Gorge in the White Mountains- also in New Hampshire.
The capitols we will visit will be Providence (RI), Hartford (CN), Albany, Montpelier (VT), Concord (NH) and Boston. We did quite a few different things each day of our trip, and so I am going to once again organize the pictures that Fred and I and Steve took in the same way I have organized other major vacation trips in this album- by giving you an index that will allow you to go directly to a particular day of our trip.
Using the Master Index
I am going to divide our trip to New England into eight different album pages- one for each day beginning Saturday, September 24. In the Master Index, you will find a link that will take you directly to each of these album pages. I expect you'll just want to begin with the first link, but you can start with any of them.
When you get to one of the album pages, you will see the same familiar buttons at the top and bottom of each page that will take you to the next section, the previous section or back to this Master Index. As I said, I have tried to organize things so that all you should want to do is use the "NEXT" button to go from page to page, but I have provided the other buttons should you wish to use them. When we have returned to Dallas and our trip is over, you will want to return to this Master Index so that you can continue on through the photograph album.
Near the top of each album page, you will also find a set of links that will enable you to jump to a specific activity that occurred on that day, should you wish to do so. Of course, the easiest thing to do is just go through the day in time sequence, activity by activity; you can always scroll by activities that might not interest you. (In case you might want it, there is also a link at the end of each activity section that will take you back to the top of that album page.)
When you are done looking at the pictures from our New England trip, use one of the "RETURN" buttons that appear at the top and bottom of every trip page to return to the Master Index and then use the link at the top of the index to return to the top of this index page. You can then use the normal buttons to continue forward or backward through the photo album.
We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures. To access the Master Index, please click HERE.
