September 24 - October 1:
A Trip to New England

For about six months, Fred and I have been talking with Mario and Steve about a trip we might take together in the Fall. After a lot of discussion, we decided on a trip to New England. Not only would we get a chance to do some interesting things in the area, but we would also enable Steve to add some state capitol buildings to the list of those he has visited. As a matter of fact, we planned to add six capitols to his list- almost doubling it.

We plan to fly into Boston on Saturday, do some stuff around the Providence, RI area on Sunday, and then, for the next five days, visit the six state capitols. We plan on ending up in Boston and flying home on Saturday, October 1.

Other than the capitols, we will apparently be touring by the seat of our pants, just doing what seems interesting. Fred and I do have two goals for the four of us. One is to take Steve and Mario to the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, and the other is to take them both on a hike through Flume Gorge in the White Mountains- also in New Hampshire.

The state capitals we will visit will be Providence (RI), Hartford (CN), Albany, Montpelier (VT), Concord (NH) and Boston (MA). Of course, we plan to tour the actual Capitols in each of those cities. In addition to these tours of state capitol buildings, we did quite a few different things each day of our trip, and so I am going to once again organize the pictures that Fred and I and Steve took in the same way I have organized other major vacation trips in this album. Each day will have its own album page.

So our New England trip will span eight different album pages- one for each day beginning Saturday, September 24. In the index at left, you will find a link that will take you directly to each of these album pages. I expect you'll just want to begin with the first link, but you can start with any of them.

When you get to one of the album pages, you will see the same familiar buttons at the top and bottom of each page that will take you to the next or previous day page (as applicable), as well as a "RETURN" button that will bring you back to this page. When you have finished looking at the New England trip, just return to this page so you can continue through the photo album.

We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures and movies from our Fall trip to New England!
