October 13-21, 2010:
A Trip to New Mexico and Arizona

For some months, Fred and I have been planning to take a hiking and camping trip out West again. We haven't done much of that in the last year or two, so we thought now would be a good time. Fred spent a good deal of time researching hikes and places of interest, and has prepared a general list of what we might do. As usual, he has done a stellar job of finding interesting hikes and places to visit, and we will start out with a general plan, adjusting it as needed for weather and other unpredictables.

This trip will be about eight days, and while it certainly won't be one of the longest trips we have taken, there will be enough activities for me to once again organize the pictures that Fred and I took in the same way I have organized other major vacation trips in this album- by allocating an album page to each day of the trip.

In the Master Index at left, you will find a link that will take you directly to each of these album pages- and a list of the activities that we did each day. I've done this so that if there is something particular you want to see, you'll be able to tell which day page it appears on. I expect, though, that most of you will just want to begin with the first day and take a look at the whole trip.

When you get to one of the album pages, you will see the same familiar buttons at the top and bottom of each page that will take you to the next day page (if any), the previous one (if any), and back to this index (always). Think of this series of pages as a cul-de-sac. When you enter it, you can work your way around the houses (days) in it, but if you want to head on down the road, you'll have to return to the cul-de-sac entrance. So when you are done with what you want to see in our trip, use one of the "RETURN" links to come back to this page, from which you can continue through the photo album.

We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures from our trip out west, so head on over to the first day page and come on along with us.
